Next Entrepreneurs Competition Overview

Prodiance Corporation is a leader in Governance, Risk and Compliance software solutions for Fortune 500 organizations. Although our products and services are focused primarily on reducing organizational risk, we are firm believers in the importance of taking risks; thinking outside the box to come up with fresh, innovative ideas that can change the way we live. This innovative thinking needs to be encouraged and nourished in young people who have the most pure and untainted view of the world.

In an effort to stimulate this kind of thinking in our community, Prodiance is sponsoring the Next Entrepreneurs Competition for the youth of the TriValley area. Prodiance has been headquartered in the TriValley area since its inception in 2005. Its founder and the majority of its employees have been residents of the community for several decades. This competition is a way to give back to the TriValley community while inspiring young people to achieve their maximum potential.

What is Next Entrepreneurs Competition?

The Next Entrepreneurs Competition invites high school Juniors and Seniors from the TriValley area to work in groups to come up with an idea for a new product, company, or service and submit a business plan for consideration. Each plan will be anonymously reviewed and scored by a panel of judges, comprised of business executives and educators from the community. The authors of the top plans will be invited back to make a formal presentation of their business plans before the final winners are announced.

Who can Participate?

All Juniors and Seniors attending high schools located in the TriValley area are eligible to participate. This includes all public, private, charter, magnet, continuation schools, and independent study programs. Participants under the age of 18 will be required to turn in a Permission to Participate form signed by a legal guardian prior to submitting their entry. Students will be asked to work in groups of two or three members.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the authors of the top three business plans. In addition, the schools the authors attend will also receive a donation to help maintain an excellent learning environment during this time of strict budget cuts.
